Charlie has made leaps and bounds in his foster home. He has settled in nicely. He is house broken and is a very good boy. He walks beautifully on the leash and loves to rip around the play yard. He is doing well with the other dogs when introduced slowly. He will benefit from regular exercise, leadership and TLC. Please offer to adopt this young boy you won't be disappointed. We did find out that Charlie's REAL name is SPIKE and he knows it!

Charlie is doing well even though he's been at the kennel longer than most dogs.  He's a beautiful white male with classic good looks and a friendly boxer wiggle.  He sits and waits patiently in his crate while I get other dogs walked.  This boy doesn't do much barking but is always happy to greet me when I get to him for his walk - which he loves.  We romp and play in the dog yard behind the kennel to rid him of pent up energy.  He walks on the leash like a champ and is learning basic commands.  Charlie's a young fellow, about a year old.  He loves his treats and any attention given to him.  He ignores the cats that are kept next to his crate and seems to really love small dogs.  This boy would just love a forever home with plenty of exercise and attention.  Please consider him - he's a keeper.

6/29/08 -

Intake Reason - Charlie's owners surrendered him to the shelter because he is moving.

Charlie is one cool looking young boy. He is a handsome, all white (hearing) boxer with one piercing blue eye and one brown. He had nothing but kisses and wiggles for me and was quiet and calm during transport. Charlie will need a calm, assertive leader as do all young boxers. And certainly someone willing to give him his much needed daily exercise. Apply for Charlie today!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the information on our Adoption Procedures, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: $300
