12/4/11 Roxy has been an angel in the
house. She prefers a calm atmosphere, but has been very good around
children and guests. She is still easily startled, especially when she
is drowsy or sleeping. Roxy thrives on her exercise - she really
enjoys a game of chase in the yard. She will spend hours with you
walking or running, giving you a friendly swat with her paw if you take too
long getting your sneakers on.
At this time, Roxy has not been welcoming with other dogs in her life.
She is an insecure girl, but has become much more comfortable with her
foster mom, following her everywhere. She sleeps on the bed or couch
at night. Roxy has made a lot of improvement since going into foster!

After 2 weeks, Roxy seems
quite comfortable and calmer in her foster home. She cuddles on the couch
when I leave the house and has not disturbed anything. Not one accident,
either. When she wants to go out, she rests her head on my leg or my bed if
I sleep too long!
Roxy has a great appetite and enjoys fresh fruit and vegetables.
Dog treats are taken very gently from my hand. Homemade chicken or vegetable
soup is becoming a favorite of hers! Roxy loves long walks and runs -the
longer the better! She gets a little excited if she sees a cat or rabbit
(even deer), but I command her to sit for a bit before resuming our walk and
she's fine. Speaking of commands, Roxy listens the first time to come, stay,
"let's go" even from another room.
Roxy is great company and usually very quiet in the house. She has
allowed me from day one to clean her ears, brush her teeth, give her a bath,
and wipe her paws without any resistance. Roxy is just a great little girl.

Included are some new pictures
of Roxy. She is scheduled to go to her new foster home this weekend. Her
foster mom will update her page as soon as she gets to know Roxy better!

Roxy is a 6 1/2 year old female Boxer. She is spayed, up to date on
shots, and microchipped. Her owner was moving and Roxy could not go along.
She was very confused and stressed at the shelter, wondering where her
family went. Roxy is reported to be good with other dogs and she previously
lived with a male boxer, Dallas. Roxy is in need of a foster home.
