Thank you so much for all you do for those boxers who are so desperately in need of your help and care. My boyfriend and I, along with his family, have been long-time fans and followers of your instagram page -- it is so apparent the amazing work you do truly changes the lives of these pups for the better!
My boyfriend, Nicholas, and his family unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to their family boxer of 12 years, Achilles, on Christmas morning. So long ago, the younger versions of themselves set out to adopt a particular pup -- upon arrival, Nicholas was immediately drawn to pup Achilles and the rest is history. Living in Queens, NY -- Achilles was the epitome of a rambunctious, patient, playful, and protective member of their family. He quickly became an integral part of their family, dressing the part to be on theme for childhood birthdays, making himself forever available for cuddle sessions, providing an alerting "boof" if anyone was nearing the front door, and always there to slobber kiss the nearest smiling face. Achilles may be gone, and his absence was certainly felt this holiday, but that same spirit he brought to us as a new force of positive energy is replicated in the good work AABR does every day -- rescuing these much in-need pups and finding their rightful place with loving families. It would be an honor and a rightful continuation of his legacy if an adopted pet within your organization carried the name of Achilles. We're so lucky to have had such an incredible creature grow up with our family and hope others are fortunate enough to have an "Achilles" in their lives.

Achilles was found as a stray and is estimated to be around a year old. The people who found him indicated that Achilles did well with their two small dogs. He is also very friendly with people. Achilles was just neutered and brought up to date on all vet care. He arrived over the weekend at his new foster home in Maryland. We will update his page once his foster mom learns more about Achilles.
