Alice celebrated her second birthday on July 18th! She continues to do well in foster. Alice is doing great with new people coming into the house. She just needs slow introductions and allowed to go to them. Alice is also doing better on leash. This beautiful girl just needs the right home to provide patience and to help her continue to improve. She is looking for a home with a male dog, a physical fence, and a calm environment.
Alice attended the AABR event at Pet Valu today. She is very timid around new people, but did extremely well at the event. Alice continues to make progress in foster. She is looking for a forever home with a confident male dog, a standard fence, and an experienced owner to continue with her progress.
Alice is doing really well in her foster home. She is still working on meeting new people, as Alice gets nervous and unsure of herself. She is kept on leash until she is comfortable in new situations. Once Alice is comfortable, though, her boxer traits really come out – she is happy, goofy, stubborn, and full of energy. Alice loves to play with toys and her foster brother, a male boxer. She is going to make a wonderful addition to a family that will be patient with her.
Alice is settling in at her foster home. She has found the toy box and is loving all the toys! Alice is getting more confident with each day, but still relies on her foster siblings when she gets nervous. Alice will definitely need to go to a home with a confident dog. She is very sweet and is looking for a quiet home that is experienced with boxers.
Alice just arrived at her new foster home. She is very nervous, but also curious. Alice seems to be housebroken and crate trained. She needs a lot of work with gaining confidence and is staying close to the other dogs. We will post more information once Alice settles in.
Alice is being returned to rescue to find a home that is a better match. She is now 1.5 yrs old. Alice is currently in a home with three young children and an invisible fence. She would do best in quieter home with a standard fence. We will be posting updated pictures and a more detailed write up for Alice soon.
3/2016 – Adopted
Alice, Queenie, and Rover have been in the shelter since September. They were part of a cruelty case involving a raid on an Amish puppy mill. Eighteen dogs and puppies were seized from an unlicensed breeder. The dogs had been living in filthy conditions and were in bad shape. The SPCA finally won the case and these three boxers are being released to rescue. Please keep in mind that these dogs lived in a puppy mill first and then the shelter for five months, so they will definitely need some TLC.
Alice is a 6-7 month old female boxer. She is a petite girl who has grown up so far in the shelter environment. Alice will be arriving this week at her new foster home. We will post more information soon!
