Archie was seized from his home last summer after he was left by the owner and the person who was supposed to be caring for him did not follow through. Archie was found starving and living in terrible conditions. He remained in a foster home through the shelter while his court case was resolved. Archie flourished in this home and is now ready to find a forever family through rescue. His previous foster mom indicates that Archie is wonderful with other dogs, both large and small, cats, and children. Archie lived with children ages 12 and 16 years. He was crated during the day and slept in bed with one of the children at night. Archie loved to play fetch and to wrestle with the other dogs. He could often be found snuggling with the cats. Archie was transported over the weekend to his new foster home in Maryland. He has gained a lot of weight and was recently brought up to date on all vet care. Archie will be going through heartworm treatment next month, so will need to be on exercise restrictions during his recovery. This sweet boy is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.
