12/17/18 – Memorial
It is with tremendous sadness and broken hearts that we share with you that Capone crossed the rainbow bridge. He was not alone or in a shelter. Capone was surrounded with love and compassion. He leaves behind people that loved him and will forever miss him. Unfortunately, not all who are rescued survive. The abuse, neglect, and damage done by heartless people is sometimes too much. Capone was only with us a week, but we fell in love in less than 24 hours. Capone touched our hearts and he will forever own a piece of them. The joy of rescuing and being there for them, no matter how long or short, is reward enough to endure the hurt and sorrow. Thank you, Adopt a Boxer Rescue, for allowing us this opportunity to love another sweet, sweet soul. Rest easy, Capone.
Capone’s family was evicted and he was left behind at the shelter at 11 yrs old with another dog. Capone was skinny, neglected, and had fleas all over him. He has just arrived at his new foster home and AABR will do everything they can to get him healthy and into a forever home.
