11/27/17 – Memorial
Coco’s health deteriorated over the last couple days and she showed signs of neurological problems. She lost her battle yesterday and passed away with her foster mom by her side. Coco was only in rescue for two weeks and we were hoping for much more time with this sweet girl. Rest in peace, Coco.
Coco has been spayed and also had a lump removed from the base of her ear, which is healing well. She is very thin and is eating three time a day to help her gain weight. Coco is in foster with two other boxers and is doing well with them. She is getting more comfortable with each day. Coco would be perfect as an only dog, but could live with an easygoing male also. She loves attention from her people. Coco just wants to snuggle with you and sit on your lap.
Coco was surrendered to the shelter when her owners moved without her. She is a sweet and gentle girl, estimated to be around 8-9 yrs of age. All she wants is to be next to you. Coco was evaluated with another dog at the shelter and she was calm and appropriate. She previously lived with children ranging in age from 1 to 15. Coco is reported to be housebroken and playful. She was transported to our vet’s office this weekend. Coco has a head tilt which our vet suspects is from years of untreated ear infections. She will be brought up to date on all vet care and will be arriving at her new foster home on Wednesday. We will update her page once Coco’s foster family learns more about her.
