Daisy has been spayed and is now ready for her forever home. Her foster family can’t say enough great things about this girl. She would do well with children of all ages. Daisy is such a sweet and gentle girl. She would love to have a Boxer brother in her new home. The family that gets to adopt Daisy will be winning the Boxer lottery!
AABR was contacted about three boxers in southern Virginia who were in urgent need of rescue. The original owner was not able to care for them. They were not being fed and were running loose at neighboring farms. The owner asked a family member to take them in or he indicated he would shoot them. Daisy, Diesel, and Duke were very lucky that the family member did take them in. She then reached out to rescue for help in finding wonderful homes and changing their lives. While AABR arranged transport, they were provided shelter and food. They were all dewormed and given vaccines. The rest of their vetting will be completed once they get settled in at their new foster homes.
Daisy is estimated to be around 6 yrs old. She would do best in a home with a male dog and without cats. Shortly before transport, Daisy had emergency surgery to remove a ruptured mass. Biopsy results have indicated the mass was a benign hamartoma. Daisy is settling in well at her new foster home. She is getting along with her foster brother, a male boxer. Daisy is also doing well in her crate and she really enjoys being back in a house. Daisy walks perfectly on leash and is such a sweet, loving girl. Once she has recovered from her previous surgery, we will be scheduling Daisy’s spay surgery. Apply today if you are interested in adopting Daisy!
