2/25/17 – Davey will be remaining with his adopters
Davey is being returned to rescue and is looking for a new foster or forever home. At times, he can be nervous with men. Davey typically keeps his distance until he warms up to them. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and loves going to doggy daycare. Davey was loved by all the other dogs and the staff there. Davey does well alone for a few hours, but would do best in a home where somebody is there often or that can continue to send him to daycare. Davey is a happy, silly, active boy who acts much younger than his estimated age. If you can provide a home for this adorable boy, apply today for Davey.
1/2016 – Adopted
Davey has arrived at his new foster home and is settling in well. After a short period of adjustment, Davey is doing well when left alone. He gets along great with the female dog in his foster home. Davey will sometimes favor his previously injured leg, but it doesn’t slow him down when walking. Davey is fantastic on leash and is very sweet. He is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky home!
Davey was originally found as a stray and estimated to be around 7 yrs of age. When he first came into the shelter, Davey was very thin and in need of some TLC. His owner was later found, but Davey was surrendered to the shelter. He really enjoyed having somebody sit with him in his kennel and love on him. Davey is quite the kisser! He appears to have possibly been hit by a car at some point in his life, as he has a little bit of arthritis in one hip from the old wound. Davey doesn’t let that slow him down, though. He is still a spunky, sweet boy. Davey has been neutered and brought up to date on all vet care. The shelter reports that he is good with other dogs, cats, and children. Davey is leash trained and enjoys going on walks. He will be arriving at his new foster home this weekend. We will update Davey’s page as soon as we learn more about him.
