Delilah has made a lot of progress in her foster home. She loves other dogs and will need a dog in her forever home. Delilah is gaining weight and making progress with housebreaking. She gets very excited when her foster mom comes home from work. Delilah’s pressure sore is infected, so she is being treated with antibitoics for 3 weeks. The vet will then reevaluate the infection in her knee joint. After many years of just being used for breeding, Delilah is finally getting the care she needs and is enjoying the comforts of life in a loving home.
Delilah was surrendered to the shelter from a puppy mill after the breeder was unable to sell her. She arrived with sutures still in her abdomen from a C-section last November. Delilah had an abscess from laying on concrete, numerous pressure sores, and parasites. She also had an infection in her uterus, which was taken care of when she was spayed at our rescue vet. Delilah has been brought up to date on all vet care and has arrived at her foster home. She follows her foster brother around everywhere. Delilah is a sweet girl who is enjoying having a soft bed to rest on. She is looking for a forever home with another dog and a fenced yard.
