Eugene was scheduled for euthanasia at a high kill rural shelter in NC. When we saw his shelter picture and the look of fear in his eyes, we knew we could not let his life hang in the balance. AABR committed to Eugene and made arrangements for his transport to New York. Fifteen volunteers, from both the shelter and rescue, pulled together to get Eugene to safety. After many miles and a few overnight stays, Eugene arrived. This mild mannered senior is gentle and quiet in the home. He is crate trained and does not get on the furniture. All Eugene asks for is a soft bed and a loving hand. He is dog friendly, but unknown with cats. Eugene would be ever so grateful for someone to open their home to him during his twilight years. Please help Eugene by offering him a place to stay.
