4/07/17 – Gucci was placed into a new home by his owners
Gucci, now known as Gooch, is in need of a foster family or a forever home willing to care for this special needs boy. He was adopted in April 2015 and has been in his home for 2 years. In January 2016, Gooch had to be hospitalized for grand mal seizures. He is currently on medications to help keep them under control. The diagnosis given by the neurologist was idiopathic epilepsy. During his time at his previous home, Gooch was a happy boy full of Boxer wiggles. He lived with two children (ages 9 and 11 yrs) and a female senior Goldendoodle.
Due to a serious medical emergency in the family, Gooch’s owner has made the difficult decision to return him to rescue. Although his seizures have been fairly well controlled over the past year, the stress of all the recent changes have triggered additional seizures. For this reason, it would be best for Gooch to go to a home where somebody is there the majority of the day for his transition. His seizures will need to be closely monitored and medications adjusted to help bring them back under control.
Gooch was recently released from the emergency hospital and is being boarded in a veterinarian facility until he finds a more permanent placement. A retired individual or somebody who works from home would be perfect for Gooch. If you are willing to care for Gooch and can offer him a home, please apply today.
