7/27/21 – Forever Foster
Hogard was returned to rescue and will be remaining with one of our volunteers in New York as a Forever Foster placement.
7/12/21 – Adopted
Hogard is still in a boarding kennel and would love to find his perfect home. He is a favorite with the kennel staff and has won the hearts of the volunteers lucky enough to walk him outside of the kennel. Hogard walks gently on leash and is unfazed by anything else that may be going on. He enjoys sniffing and walking faithfully by your side. This gentle giant rides well in the car. He stays in the backseat and is really happy to be out of the kennel and with a human. Hogard attaches quickly and bonds instantly with the first person who is kind to him. His loyalty is unsurpassed. Hogard needs a few minutes when meeting new people as he is quite timid. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he is your new best friend. Hogard loves to give paw, sit, and do anything to please. He would love a home with a fenced yard as zoomies are a favorite pastime. A quiet home would suit him best as too much going on tends to overwhelm him. We would love to find Hogard a foster or forever home that can appreciate all that he had to offer.
Hogard has been returned to rescue in hopes of finding a home more well suited for him. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard, as well as someone with time, patience and a firm commitment. He would do best in a quiet environment with no children as he gets nervous with a lot of kid activity in the home. Hogard does love other dogs and has the utmost respect for his feline friends. He is very strong and may look intimidating, but he will be your best bud and companion, and is a big baby at heart! He is Mr. Manners and knows sit, paw, stay and leave it. This sweet boy is currently in the kennel awaiting a foster or forever to step up. Can you help him?
Adopted – 4/23/21
Hogard is doing fantastic in his foster home. He is currently working on manners. He has learned sit, stay, down, come, and has definitely mastered “give kisses!” He absolutely adores his foster mom (she really is pretty amazing) and he will be starting his heart-worm treatment next week. This handsome hunk is as close to perfect as possible. Hogard is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to go on walks and to the dog park. Apply today to make Hogard a permanent fixture in your home and on your couch!
Hogard is at a rural shelter waiting for his chance at a new life. He was picked up as a stray with another female dog that has since secured a rescue. We do not know much about him other than the fact that he is starving for affection and human contact. There is no history of him with cats or young children. This country boy would prefer a home with a fully fenced in yard accompanied by all of the love, time, and patience a 2 year old boxer deserves. In return, he offers you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and unlimited kisses. Hogard is wishing for that home upon his arrival to Long Island, NY this week.
