Jethro is a bulldog/boxer mix who has been sadly returned back to rescue because he was not getting along with the resident dog in the home. Although he had lived with other dogs in his previous home, the attack he suffered has left Jethro very fearful and reactive around other dogs. Jethro is now in a foster placement as the only dog. His foster mom describes Jethro as darn near perfect. Jethro has the best disposition and has never met a stranger. He enjoys going for walks and car rides. He also loves to snuggle and play with squeaky toys. Jethro is a very easygoing boy. He is loved dearly by his foster home, but Jethro is looking for a family of his own without other animals. If you have a lot of love to give Jethro, apply today!
9/20/20 – Adopted
Jethro is a 3 year old boy who was surrendered along with three other dogs when his owner became very ill and could no longer care for them. On the day of his scheduled transport, Jethro got out of his fence. A volunteer was able to return to the home several days later. Upon picking him up, the volunteer discovered that Jethro had been attacked by another dog when on the loose and had not received vet care. Jethro was in terrible pain and underwent surgery immediately to treat his injuries. His wounds are healing well and Jethro was able to be transported over the weekend to his new foster home in Maryland. Jethro is a really sweet boy who is getting along well with the senior puggle in his foster home. Please consider making a donation to help with Jethro’s vet care. He also needed to be neutered, treated for hookworms, and brought up to date on all vaccines and his heartworm test. We will update Jethro’s page once we learn more about him.
