We are heartbroken that Jimi may be losing his foster home at the beginning of December and will be in danger of going back to the kennel. Jimi is in need of a quiet home with a securely fenced yard that is outside of the city environment. He would also do best in a home without children. Jimi’s behavior can escalate into excessive mouthiness and he doesn’t always realize his strength. Jimi is also very strong on leash and he can get easily overstimulated by people and things going on around him. Because he is deaf, getting his attention can sometimes be challenging. Since being in foster, we have discovered that Jimi is fully housebroken. He has mastered basic commands such as sit, down, and place. Jimi loves praise and has a lot of potential. He needs an experienced home to continue to work with him. If you can help Jimi, please contact your coordinator or submit an application to foster him.
After three months in the kennel, Jimi has finally found a hero that is willing to give him a chance. He arrived at his new foster home this morning and has been busy playing with toys and exploring his new foster home. Jimi will be working on socialization with other dogs, leash manners, and basic obedience. He would do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard. We will update Jimi’s page with his progress. We have also included some pictures from last weekend when two of our volunteers spent some time with Jimi in the play yard. He had a great time running in the play yard and exploring the agility equipment.
Jimi is still in need of a foster home. He is currently in a boarding kennel and would love to get into a home soon. Jimi needs some work on his socialization with dogs, leash manners, and basic obedience. He would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. Jimi’s wounds have healed and the purple spray is fading. If you can be a hero for Jimi, apply today.
An urgent foster home is needed for Jimi. This boy is estimated to be around 2-3 yrs old and is suspected by the shelter to be deaf. He was originally found as a stray and adopted from the shelter in March. Jimi was returned last week in terrible condition. He has open sores on both ears and had been treated by the adopter with a purple antiseptic spray. Jimi has since been evaluated by the shelter’s vet. He has been placed on antibiotics, had his wounds treated, and was dewormed. His temporary foster indicated that Jimi enjoys snuggling on the couch. He will be transported to Maryland on Friday, but will be going to a boarding kennel until he finds a foster home. Please offer to help Jimi so he can get quickly into a loving home.
