Max is looking for a home with a family that is home often and patient enough to give him time to trust you. He would do best in a home without young children. Max is great with other dogs and would benefit from a dog in his forever home. He needs reassurance and consistency.
Max has finished the board and train program and is back at his foster home. Max would do best in a quiet home that can continue to help him build confidence and work on his socialization. He will also need another dog in his home. Max has done well with all the other dogs in daycare and gets along well with his foster brother. If you feel you have the right environment and experience for Max, apply today!
Max was evaluated by a trainer and has started an 8 week behavior training program. He functions solely on adrenaline and fear at this time. The trainer feels confident that Max can move forward and live a peaceful, fulfilling life. Max will be taught how to relax, balance his relationships to the people he lives with, and to learn proper impulse control. His confidence will be improved through proper socialization.
Max needs your support to help with his rehabilitation. Please consider making a donation towards his training. We would like to give Max the opportunity to lead a happy, well balanced life.
Max is doing well in his foster home. He has done fine with visitors coming into the home and he gets along well with his foster brother, a senior male boxer. Max does startle easily, so would do best in a quiet environment. He has shown a lot of reactive behavior on leash, so will be evaluated soon by a trainer to help him overcome this behavior. We will continue to provide updates on Max’s progress.
Max was adopted three weeks ago, but is being returned to rescue to find a home that is a better match for him. Max would do best in a quieter and calmer home. He needs to be placed with another dog to help with his confidence. When outside, sounds and fast moving objects really startle him. Max is a super sweet and lovable boy with his family. He will be arriving at his new foster home this week and we will update his page once his foster mom learns more about him.

Max was surrendered to the shelter for being too hyper. He is a young boxer boy and will need a home that understands the boxer breed and will provide him with appropriate training and exercise. Max was recently neutered and brought up to date on all vet care. He will be arriving at his new foster home this weekend. We will update Max’s page with additional pictures and more information soon! Thank you for your interest in Max.
