Octane was seized by animal control due to being very underweight. After being dewormed and fed regularly at the shelter, he quickly picked up his weight. Octane was a favorite with the staff. He was reported to be good with children and other dogs, but Octane is not a fan of cats. Due to his history, Octane can be protective of his food around other dogs and should be fed separately.
Octane arrived at his foster home a week ago and is settling in well. If you hold out your arms, Octane does the boxer lean and melts into you. He has good leash manners, is housebroken, and crate trained. Octane lives with a senior female boxer and also met a cousin’s boxer, who he enjoyed playing with. Octane is an energetic boy and would do best with an active family. He has a dominant personality and is looking for a confident owner. If your home is a good match for Octane, apply today!
