2/24/18 – Update
Pineapple is a sweetheart and helped us spread the word last Sunday, at a puppy mill protest, about the terrible truth on where pet shop puppies come from. She was brave and did her best to mingle, but a lot of things are still new to her.
She was good with all the dogs she met, but we have decided that for now, Pineapple will need to be an only dog. She has been in foster as an only dog and with another dog, and although she’s done well playing with other dogs, she seems to prefers an only dog home.
Meet Pineapple!!! Pineapple was rescued along with Carmen by one of our volunteers from a horrific puppy mill. The mill operator had no use for Pineapple because she would not breed. She was brought to the mill at 6 months of age and could not acclimate to the horrendous atmosphere.
Pineapple is a happy, energetic 1 yr old girl. She loves other dogs and lights up when she is around children. Pineapple will need to work on her basic obedience and polish up on her leash manners a bit. As with most mill survivors, Pineapple will need another dog in the home to help her feel confident and secure. More to come on this sweet little girl as she continues to blossom, enjoy life, and settle into her foster home.
