Roma is a sweet former mill mom. She spends her day chasing squirrels in the yard with her foster siblings. When they are done, you can find them cuddled up on the couch together. She continues to be very shy and timid around new people. Roma doesn’t mind being in her crate and is easily persuaded to go in with a treat. She walks great on a leash as long as there is not a lot of noise in the neighborhood. We are working on getting her more comfortable with getting in and out of cars, and going up and down stairs. Roma is breaking out of her shell slowly and will need a loving family that will be patient with her. The rewards you feel with each accomplishment will be like no other.
How could it be that this sweet mill mom has not been adopted? She loves other dogs and is wonderful with children. Roma’s ideal home would be with a male dog and a fully fenced yard. We are pleased with her progress and we know that she will be a great addition to a lucky family. This beautiful girl is ready for her forever home.
Roma is doing great in her foster home. She is completely housebroken and loves her foster furfriends. Roma also does well with children. New things still scare her, but she is adjusting well to family life.
Roma is a mill dog that was no longer useful. That was her win because she now has the freedom to be part of a family. Roma had been passed around to three different Lancaster mills in the past year. She just turned 5 years old. Roma is currently at our vet and will get updated on all care (spay, heartworm test, vaccines, fecal, and microchip). In two weeks, she will go back to the vet for a dental. This alone will cost $1000 due to multiple extractions. Please consider a donation toward her care. Roma will be fostered outside of Philadelphia with two other boxers. We will be looking for a home with a male dog only. Roma does not have a history around cats. She is a sweet girl who will blossom in a home with a fenced yard. She is going to make a lucky family very happy.
