Rowdy continues to make progress in his foster home. He has become much more comfortable around the other dogs and would enjoy a female dog in his forever home. He rides well in the car and has wonderful leash manners. Rowdy has gone to work with his foster mom, and has been perfectly behaved with 15 employees and people coming and coming. He accepts pets and snuggles from anyone in about 30 seconds. Rowdy can really work his puppy dog eyes.
Rowdy has arrived at his foster home and he is settling in well. His foster family reports that he is such a sweet dog. Rowdy is great with people and incredibly trusting. He is a gentle boy whose nub never stops wagging. Rowdy gives the cats their space, but he is nervous around the energetic dogs in his foster home. He would be fine as an only dog. If placed with another dog, he would prefer a low key companion. The ten year old child is his favorite. He is not bothered at all by her running, dancing, or snuggles. Rowdy is an amazing boy who will be a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
Rowdy was surrendered to a shelter in West Virginia and is estimated to be around 3-5 yrs old. He seems to be very friendly and has done well around other dogs at the shelter. Rowdy was also tested with a cat and did not have any reaction. He will be neutered and brought up to date on all vet care. Rowdy will then be arriving at his new foster home next weekend. He will be living with a cat and two other boxers. We will update Rowdy’s page once her arrives in rescue and we learn more about him.
