Snowman was found in horrific condition in someone’s yard. He is emaciated with several cigarette burns on the top of his head and sores over his body. The shelter reached out to one of our volunteers who rushed to get him as fast as she could. Snowman is part of an active, ongoing criminal abuse/neglect case with the Nassau County District Attorney’s office. His abuser has not yet been found. Snowman is receiving the very best veterinary care here with us at AABR. He is being cared for in one of our volunteer’s homes and is slowly starting to put on weight. Snowman is a gentle soul and is estimated to be no more than 4 yrs of age. He is extremely kind and gentle with everyone and everything he meets. Snowman is being fostered with several other boxers and cats, and is respectful and accepting of all. He is working on housetraining skills. We are not rushing him, but will be giving Snowman all the time he needs to heal his mind and body. When he is well enough, Snowman will be neutered and ready for adoption.
