Tristan is ready to begin his search for a forever home. He continues to make remarkable progress with his trainer. Tristan will need a quiet home that is confident and skilled with multiple dog households, as well as somebody willing to continue what he has learned in training. Tristan would do best in a home without cats. We know that his perfect home is out there!
Tristan just arrived with our trainer to decompress and show us what he needs in a forever home. After a week of healthy meals and time to relax, Tristan has started to work on why some strangers and situations make him uncomfortable. He is a wonderful senior boy who just needs some structure and guidance. We will continue to update Tristan’s page with his progress.
Tristan is doing his best to look cute for you. At 8-10 yrs of age, he finds himself homeless again and in a boarding kennel. If you recall from May, his original owner fell ill and won’t be coming back for Tristan. He sadly was not a good fit for his adoptive home and was returned to find a placement without a lot of activity. Tristan is a low key gentleman who just needs a nice, comfy bed and a quiet home. He would do best in a home without children. If placed with another dog, it should be a laid back female that matches his personality. Apply today if you feel your home is a good fit for Tristan.

Tristan’s owner has left him, but not willingly. His owner is in a coma and is unresponsive. While we are unsure of his prognosis, we know that we need to help Tristan. This sweet and loving 8-10 yr old boy is currently residing with a friend of his owner, but he unfortunately can only hold him for a few days. He reached out to AABR because he wants to do the right thing. Tristan is friendly with other dogs, but has never been around cats. He is currently in the NYC area and needs an immediate foster or forever home. The gentleman helping Tristan wanted to share some background info. Please read below:
“Tristan’s owner has been fighting health issues for the greater part of the 8+ years that we have known him. At the end of March, we learned that his owner had called an ambulance for himself. Tristan was discovered alone in his home by the owner’s coworker a week later. The doctor’s have indicated that he is in a medically induced coma and has gone through three surgeries, including removal of one of his lungs. Even if his owner survives this fight, he will sadly be in no condition to care for his beloved friend.”
If you are able to help with Tristan, apply today or contact your coordinator if you are already approved.
