Willow has been a wonderful patient following her ACL surgery. She is on restrictions and is following all discharge instructions, which is something very difficult for a boxer! Willow is taking everything in stride and continues to show her happiness.
Willow has been doing great in foster over the past 6 weeks. Behind the pretty face is a fearful little girl at times. It has taken time for Willow to develop trust and to learn humans will no longer harm her. She would do best in a home with a confident male dog and a secure, fenced yard. Willow definitely has the energy of a boxer, but she is also content laying quietly with her people. Willow is completely housebroken and crate trained. She rides well in the car and also does well on leash. Willow will be going to the orthopedic vet this week to have a cruciate tear repaired. After she recovers, Willow will be looking for a forever home who will be patient with her. Do you have the room to show compassion and kindness to Willow?
Willow is a 6 yr old girl who came into rescue after a family bought her from a breeder. Upon picking her up, they found out she had an injury to her leg and they could not afford her care. The family asked AABR to take Willow and follow up with a specialist. Willow is now in a foster home. She is a sweet girl who is kid and dog friendly. Willow will be seeing our vet on June 14th to determine what is going on with her leg. We will post more soon on this gorgeous girl.
