8/28/17 – On Hold
Jazzy is in the process of receiving orthopedic consults at this time. She will likely have to undergo multiple surgeries. We will update Jazzy’s page once we know more from the vet.
Meet Jazzy! This young girl was picked up by the shelter when she was found resting underneath a car. Her owner never came for her. Jazzy was examined by the shelter veterinarian and suspected to have an issue with her hip and a dime in her stomach. She would not walk at the shelter and had to be carried to go out. As soon as our volunteer got Jazzy out of the shelter, she was immediately taken to one of our veterinarians. Upon arrival at the animal hospital, Jazzy willingly jumped out of the car and walked in. She was not walking at the shelter for the past 10 days because she was so frightened.
Our veterinarian gave Jazzy a thorough exam and took multiple x-rays. Jazzy was found to be in excellent heath besides a myriad of orthopedic issues that will need surgical correction. She will be evaluated by a board certified orthopedic surgeon next week. We will then have a better idea as to what exactly Jazzy is dealing with and how we can begin to fix it. She may have a rough road ahead of her with multiple surgeries.
Jazzy is just about as sweet as they come. At around 1.5 yrs of age, this girl is extremely sweet, loving and oh so very gentle. She is currently in foster with multiple dogs and 5 cats and is very respectful and friendly with all of them. Jazzy loves to be next to anyone and finds much comfort in having her paw held. We will post details on Jazzy as she continues to seamlessly settle into her foster home and once she has her orthopedic evaluation next week.
